Sound Bath What is it?
During the session, I’ll start with an introduction, explaining what will happen. You can ask questions afterward. The sequence of sounds varies, but rest assured, everyone receives attention with the instruments played wherever you are.
Here’s what happens:
You’ll be asked to be ready 10 minutes before the session starts. This gives you a chance to set up, get comfy on a bed or/and with a pillow, eye mask, and blanket – creating a cocoon-like atmosphere. Feel free to ask any questions. Soft, relaxing sounda will be playing as you settle in. Whether you’re alone or with friends, your experience will be uniquely your own, which is the beauty of the sound and gong bath experience.
General Flow of The Session:
Here’s a general flow of how a session could be delivered:
- Breathing Exercises: We begin with some light drumming and breathing exercises to help you relax and focus on your breath.
- Gongs: I use four different gongs to create a deep, resonant soundscape that washes over you. The vibrations from the gongs are powerful and can penetrate deep into your body, promoting relaxation and healing.
Other Instruments: Alongside the gongs, I incorporate a variety of other instruments, such as chimes, bells, and bowls, to enhance the experience and create a rich tapestry of sound. - Closure: I gently bring everyone back, giving a few minutes to reflect. If you wish to vocalise or write down your experience, you can, but there’s no pressure. We usually suggest some dark chocolate for grounding and aftercare instructions are provided.
The gong bath experience is deeply restorative, helping to balance your mind, body, and spirit. The unique combination of gongs and other instruments provides a powerful and transformative journey.
Namaste,
Lisa
