Sound baths healing sessions Newcastle

Want to know more- Sound Bath What is it?

One of the questions I get asked the most is: “Is it a bath, and is there water?” Well, the short answer is no to both

So why is it called a sound bath? There are a couple of reasons. Firstly, you lie on a comfortable flotation bed with a pillow, eye mask, and a blanket, cocoon-like, just as you would relax in a bath. Secondly, people often describe the sensation as being submerged in water, with waves of vibration flowing over their bodies.

Here’s what happens:

You’ll be asked to arrive 10 minutes before the session starts. This gives you a chance to set up, get comfy, and take some time to chill after your busy day. Feel free to ask any questions. The atmosphere will be quiet and relaxed, as I spend time preparing the room beforehand by cleansing any negative energy and setting a calming intention for the session. Soft, chilled music will be playing as you settle in. Whether you’re alone or with friends, your experience will be uniquely your own, which is the beauty of the sound bath experience.

During the session, I’ll start with an introduction, explaining what will happen. You can ask questions afterward. The sequence of sounds varies, but rest assured, everyone receives individual attention with the instruments played over their bodies (without any physical contact).

Here’s a general flow of the session:

  1. Breathing Exercises: We begin with some light drumming and breathing exercises to help you relax and focus on your breath.
  2. Drumming: I go around the room, playing the drum over each participant’s body, allowing you to feel the beats and vibrations.
  3. Crystal Pyramid: Each person experiences the vibrations of the crystal pyramid individually.
  4. Crystal Singing Bowls: My crystal singing bowls are tuned to the seven chakras, each corresponding to different aspects of your physical and emotional well-being:
    • Red (Root Chakra): Grounding, stability, physicality.
    • Orange (Sacral Chakra): Emotions, creativity, sensuality.
    • Yellow (Solar Plexus Chakra): Self-esteem, willpower, personal identity.
    • Green (Heart Chakra): Love, compassion, emotional balance.
    • Blue (Throat Chakra): Communication, self-expression, creativity.
    • Indigo (Third Eye Chakra): Higher consciousness, intuition, spiritual connection.
    • Purple (Crown Chakra): Highest states of consciousness, spiritual connection, universal oneness.
  5. Closure: I gently bring everyone back, giving a few minutes to reflect. If you wish to share your experiences, you can, but there’s no pressure. I usually offer some dark chocolate for grounding and provide a leaflet with aftercare instructions.
